these models man…if you’re doing TFP (Time For Portfolio Trade for Print) and you’d get 50% no show – that’s a standard.
Friend – Critter rents a studio in Chicago, and he invited couple of photographers for a shoot. Everything seemed to be great – awesome location, Cait – makeup artist, plenty of space to shoot, great people… everything would be great but… 2 models scheduled @9am didn’t show up, and our mua had to leave before noonluckily the 3rd model – Amanda showed up around noon, and with her great energy she saved the day
no, wait, it doesn’t end here – Amanda is also a mua, so she did makeup for herself. Does it get any better that that?
For 2 pictures below we obviously used 2 flashes heavily gelled with magenta and green colors for background, super-clamped to the doors – Critter – thanks for the ideaMain light was snooted speedlight subject high right, and Lastolite 24″ softbox subject left @ low power for leg detail, etc…
Below: speedlight + 16″ beauty dish high above and subject left Lastolite 24″ softbox low power for fill.
For the 2 shots below, we set up AB800+socked beauty dish, high right angled at the subject. Pete gave an idea to gel AB with CTO and switch white balance to tungsten to get colder look – which was a great idea. Me – after looking at pictures on my screen at home – decided to play a bit with white balance and curves, and I came up with colors that I really like – a little bit warmer than we decided on location…
Once again I had fun, it was great to hang out with the gang, and Amanda – looking forward to work with you in the future!
