Natalia & her baby

You remember Natailia from previous session in my apartment studio, right? Well, I enjoyed working with Natalia – and I think the feeling was mutual – so we decided it’s about time for another session:)Also Natalia wanted to be photographed with her new baby – her new car – Infiniti FX35. Car, like Natalia, is sophisticated, has beautiful inside and changes it’s colors depending on light conditions¬† (well maybe not exactly, but you get my point:) ) I have to tell ya, the idea comes from Chicago photographer – Matt Bigelow, that he came up with, while shooting model in Cadillac Escalade. I didn’t know what the exact setup was, but that wasn’t a problem – I knew that I was gonna use Lastolite softbox and E-TTL. On top of that I had Kamila as an assistant and Pete Tsai shooting with me, so I wasn’t worried about any technical challenges:)

Warning: Strobist stuff (if you are not photographer – skip it:))

So here we go: extra long E-TTL cable from flash zebra hooked to 580ex II flash on the stand high behind me, 1x 580ex II + Lastolite Trigrip subject right outside the car window, and 1x 580ex II + Lastolite Softbox slightly right of the subject thru the open car doors. Decided to put 580ex II because it was impossible to get all 3 flashes to “see each other” when I had my 580ex II on the hot shoe (car blocked E-TTL pretty well). Here is the diagram for better understanding. Few things about editing: few weeks back I finished online training hosted by Flickr legend and Photoshop guru – Aaron Nace, called Digital Enhancement. Aaron is showing tons of tips and tricks, and for this photoshoot there was one particular that I’ve decided to use. I wanted to make my pictures look a little bit like Michael Kors ad, but not to overdo it. I wanted to do it just after the training was over, but I didn’t shoot anything quite fashion like that, and I knew it’s gonna perfectly match Natalia and her style.

For two pictures below Lastolite Softbox + 580ex II on E-TTL cord above subject slightly left, and for the second shoot reflector to block direct sun (you can notice the change on Natalia’s leg)

Here we decided to take out 86″ PLM with only one flash (you can see it on bumper’s reflection) everything E-TTL (no cord tho)

Rudy Weiglein - I’m in fact addicted to photography and would fairly akin to a job linking it though i perform NOT want to obtain movies of people (weddings and stuff), i approximating attractive arty/creative pictures. I as well adore symbols and I have been thinking of writing designed for a teenage magazine and expectantly creature clever to get taking photographs in in attendance as glowing. Has anybody got some thoughts on what job I might accomplish that involves my kind of photography and writing and how I might get present. By the side of the moment I’m 16..
