I always wanted to photograph balloon festival, and I got really excited about it, when Ritu told me that there is one in Galena, Illinois.
Didn’t care that Galena is over 160miles away, I really wanted to go there and check it out. But after we arrived, we had this feeling, that scumbag Steve might have been involved in organizing this event. First of all, parking sings were confusing rather than helpful, and instead of advertised 20 balloons there were only 2 and a half :/ Simply put – it wasn’t up to standards of Americans events I got used to. Picture on Facebook event site showed over 30 balloons, but then, after reverse image lookup, we found out it was a stock image, not the real oneAnyways, despite all that, we had fun and enjoyed the whole event, especially me running around and taking pictures of old cars. There were plenty of Mustangs so I was one happy camper, and after a while I totally forgot that we came here to watch balloons
